KASSIDI

Kassidi Gilgenast for Woodland Park
School District Board of Education

Election Day is November 4th

I’m dedicated to our community, invested in our schools and committed to supporting all kids.

Hello, I'm Kassidi Gilgenast, and I am a 10-year resident of Teller County, a mom of two girls, a coach, a military wife, a volunteer, a community volunteer and a sports business executive. I'm running for the Woodland Park School District Board of Education to bring strategic vision, collaborative leadership, fiscal responsibility and a strong positive culture to our district.

Our mountain community deserves a school district that brings us together around our shared values: excellence in education, fiscal responsibility, care for this community and preparing our kids for bright futures. I'm committed to fostering stability and growth through transparent, balanced governance, meaningful community engagement, and unwavering focus on student success.

School choice is a cornerstone of Colorado education, and I will work to elevate every school in our district while finding ways to bring people together, bridge differing perspectives, and unite around our shared commitment to our kids and community.

Let’s prioritize vision over division and move forward as a community and as a district, together.

Steady Leadership. Clear Vision. Strong Community.

Meet Kassidi

I'm a lifelong Coloradan and Woodland Park has been my home for 10 years. My husband Erik and I chose this community because of its beautiful surroundings, strong community, adventurous spirit. I grew up in a family that appreciated the outdoors and taught me to camp, hunt, fish and explore at a young age and I learned critical leadership skills as a high school and collegiate athlete.

We’re proud to be a military family, and I bring a unique perspective on service, sacrifice, and commitment to the community. My husband is an active duty Green Beret with 17 years of distinguished service, having deployed eight times worldwide in high-stakes operational environments and combat zones with 10th Special Forces Group out of Fort Carson.

Since moving to Woodland Park in 2014, I have had the opportunity to work with hundreds of WPHS kids through athletics as a coach with the girls volleyball program. I’ve volunteered with and organized community events, volunteered in the classroom at Columbine Elementary and served on both School and District Accountability Committees as a parent representative.

In my career as a sports business executive, I have had the opportunity to develop strategic plans, manage multi-million dollar budgets, negotiate contracts with corporate partners and lead high-performing teams.

I’m ready to bring my experience, commitment and skills to the Board of Education for Woodland Park School District.
