Meet
Kassidi
Mom. Coach. Volunteer. Community Leader. Board President. Business Executive. Military Wife.
I'm a lifelong Coloradan and Woodland Park has been my home for the past 10 years. My husband Erik and I chose this community because of its beautiful surroundings, strong community, adventurous spirit. I grew up in a family that appreciated the outdoors and taught me to camp, hunt, fish and explore at a young age and I learned critical leadership skills as a high school and collegiate athlete.
I’m proud to have served this community as a coach, volunteer, community leader, board member and parent representative. I’m excited to bring my experience and skills to the Woodland Park School District Board of Education.
As a parent
I have two children in the Woodland Park School District, a preschooler and a 3rd grader. Like every parent, I want them to reach their full potential academically, be good neighbors, develop strong character, and be prepared for whatever path they choose after graduation.
I have enjoyed opportunities to volunteer in my daughter’s classroom and serve as a Parent Representative on both School and District Accountability Committees where I have contributed to discussions on academic improvement, budget priorities and community engagement.
My decisions on the school board will always center on this question: "How do we create opportunities for every child to excel?”
As a military family
We’re proud to be a military family. My husband Erik is an active duty Green Beret and U.S. Army Special Forces operator with 17 years of distinguished service, having deployed eight times worldwide in high-stakes operational environments and combat zones with 10th Special Forces Group out of Fort Carson. As a military wife, I bring a unique perspective on service, sacrifice, and commitment to the community.
Military families understand the importance of strong, stable schools because we know what it means to rely on community support systems during challenging times. I’ve experienced firsthand how quality education and caring educators and staff can provide continuity and support for children even when life brings uncertainty. This experience has taught me the value of strategic planning, clear communication under pressure, and the critical importance of building resilient institutions that serve families through all circumstances.
As a coach & mentor
For the past 10 years I have coached girls volleyball at Woodland Park High School, Woodland Park Volleyball Club, and Woodland Park Parks & Recreation working with hundreds of kids and students athletes to help them develop both strong character, work ethic and athletic skills. The best teams I've coached aren't just collections of talented individuals – they're groups that learn to combine their different strengths toward shared goals of excellence and mutual support.
As an athlete, competing in sports at the high school and NCAA Division I collegiate level taught me about the importance of character, teamwork, grit and resilience.
Since 2014, Woodland Park High School’s volleyball team has had tremendous success including multiple League Championships and a 2022 Regional Championship and State Championship appearance for the first time in 30 years.
As a community leader & board member
Service has always been central to my life. As Vice Chair, then Chair of Keep Woodland Park Beautiful since 2020, I've organized projects and events that bring neighbors together to improve our shared community.
One of the biggest events that Keep Woodland Park Beautiful organizes is the Annual Citywide Cleanup, bringing together over 100 volunteers every year to join together to clean up and improve our neighborhoods, local businesses, and public spaces.
As President of the Board of Directors for Woodland Park Volleyball Club, I have driven new initiatives to get kids involved, presided over meetings and improved club operations.
As a sports business executive
My career as an executive in both Olympic and professional sports has given me extensive experience managing complex budgets, leading teams through change, and developing long-term strategic plans.
As Chief Marketing Officer with USA Volleyball, I managed a $2.5 million budget, developed and negotiated major corporate partnerships, oversaw all commercial operations and served on the U.S. delegation to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. I gained leadership experience managing a national nonprofit organization that served a range of stakeholders including 40 different regional volleyball associations with different needs and priorities.
In my current role as Vice President of Marketing and Communications with the Bay Area Panthers professional indoor football team, I lead all marketing, public relations, and communications efforts across owned, earned and paid media channels.
